This is Francine - I have the forum on this site.  I have read of your problem, Katie and of the answers that you have received.

I will say that when I was a young girl I used Ivory soap and have always used steam and/or warm water to "open" the pores.

But, blackheads that are a problem need more help than that.

I started my skin care company because I had skin cancer removed and  my face was extremely senstive.  I looked for something safe, natural and effective to clean my face.  I needed more than just cleaning products - I needed something that would rid the skin of the scars and discoloration.

After finding none on the market - I developed my own.  We have been in business for 15 years.  What I created are two exfoliates - powder and cream.  They safely remove the top layer of 'dead' skin and bring out the deeply imbedded dirt and debris (blackheads).  I am now a certified Esthetician and Cosmetologist and have worked with a chemist to make certain the "blend" of products stays safe and natural.

Everyone should exfoliate.  There are products on the market and I tell you that I would be afraid to use them.  Most have some sort of Retin A and all seem to have Ascorbic Acid.  Retin A can cause birth defects and burning of the skin.  Ascorbic acid is very caustic and many people are allergic to it.

The formula I have created is so safe that a person can eat it.  I have said that for years and I was asked to demonstrate it on Fox 31 television.  I did so and they were amazed at the purity of the product - also - it WORKS!

The powder can be easily made into a paste by applying water to it.  Most, if not all, of the blackheads are gone with the first use.  In our 15 years of selling these products we have not had one case of someone being allergic to our products.
