Re: HPV bicycles 600+ mpg

The type of bicycle I ride is a Rocky Mountain Moutain bicycle. I had to search all over the place to find a bicycle that wasn't made in China or that wouldn't cost me a fortune. Well, Rocky Mountain bicycles are all hand made and are made in Canada. I live in the D.C. area and ride every change I get. The transit system isn't very bicycle friendly here so I can't take my bicycle to work with me. They only allow bicycles before 7:00 am or after 9:00 am and then after 8:00 pm. This would make my work day extremely long and, since I study meditation and take krav maga this schedule would never work for me. We do, however, have many bicycle paths but getting to them is the big challenge. For example, I could ride to work during the warm months but, because of battling traffic to get to those trails, it would take me 1 1/2 hours to get there. The buses are a little more accommodating with cyclists. They all have racks that can accommodate two bicycles but there are no direct buses to Alexandria where I work. Just goes to show that there is room for improvement when it comes to supporting human-powered vehicles.
