Re: Product Ingredients
DMP - Your questions leads me to tell you that this is the reason I have become part of this forum. To me, a universe can only be as healthy as the people in it. We are too used to accept anything that says we can live longer and look better. We don't question because we don't really want to find out that what we are being told is not true. You can read the ingredients on the skin care products in the stores and the ones that are repeated over and over again are fillers and preservatives. Stay away from the ones that have Ascorbic Acid or Retin A. Ascorbic Acid can cause irritation of the skin and Retin A can cause birth defects. Even you aren't a potential mother, why would you put something on your face that would cause such damage? It's madness.
If you read my BIO you will see that I am a survivor of cancer - a spider melanoma, on my face, that almost took my life.
I spent many years trying to find ingredients that would not irritate or endanger my skin - finding none, I developed my own. I have become an Esthetician and I am listed in Who's Who for my research into natural skin care and anti-aging products.
I appeared on Fox 31 a few years ago and they showed me eating a spoonful of my exfoliating powder. It is so safe that you can brush your teeth with it, although we don't have products made for that purpose.
There are a few cosmetic lines that are trying to make their products more "user-friendly", but even those have to use preservatives. Our preservatives are baking soda and honey. It is the blending of our products with a naturally occuring mineral from the sea that makes them so effective.
When you see models on TV and in magazines remember that they are very young and have perfect skins. This is a sore point with me because it is very misleading.
Now, to get to some natural ways to help your skin:
These are fine to do just for the basics, but if you have deeply imbedded blackheads or surface wrinkles, you need products that are safe and effective and blended for that purpose.
It has been my pleasure to hear from you. Please write back with any questions or comments. Let me hear from you.
My product line, "Face of the Sea' can be found at www.facefitness.com
