Re: global warming can be reduced by trees

I've seen numbers on the environmental impact of whole countries and I see that conservation etiquet is taught to individuals but I am not aware of numbers associated with "cities". 

If we knew that, per capita, a particular city created less environmental impact than another I might know what an environmentally sustainable city actually looks like.

  Patchwork fix ups are not going to work.  For every individual who plants a tree or shuts the light off when he goes to work, another individual will spend his raise on a backyard hot tub or bigger SUV.
