I also just signed up to donate a small amount each month so my utility can replant trees after the forest fires in Northern Arizona. It helps hold the soil, clean the air and makes the environment more stable.
Trees are a great resource. Imagine if evenyone would replant 10 trees for any 1 they cut down like the native Americans used to do. If everyone did that for their Christmas tree it would add up.
We got another small live tree this year, and will plant it outside soon.
