that might be referring to the 2 mode hybrids similar to the GM and Infinity products. They think by having a overdrive typew gear they can be more efficient.

The best is still the Prius, lighter, more efficient, CVT transmission and rankine cycle clean engine. If you add more battery capacity it's even better. If you make it lighter like the Toyota X1 concept it better still. 100+ mpg is almost here for everyone. solar stacks
