Environmental Problem is a Deep Economics Problem

Environmental Problem is a Deep Economics Problem?

Quote"The essence of economy is the ecological conditions humans create for themselves. The ultimate goal of all economic activities is to better conditions of humans’ nutrition, housing, security, resources and things like these.
Once this point is made clear, economy will be orientated towards ecological needs. This is the base on which ecological and economic values are united. So theoretically, it is feasible to integrate the economic system into the ecological mechanism. "

The above is from a site of greency.org, I have something about Deep Economics, which devote to resovle the envrionmental nut, but the concept could be accepted by most difficultly, and the methods supplied by the greency may be a fresh one.

The premise is sound, but lacks a major consideration.

The people making the 'economic' decisions are not making them based on a cold analysis of the facts.  Frequently decisions of this magnitude are based on emotional tendencies.

Moreover, short term gains frequently override the long term decisions, and the rationale is that:

"If I make enough now, I can handle the downturn later; or, I can alter my future situation enough for it not to matter."

That's the major hurdle that prevents the 'best' decision from being made.
