BioDiesle vs. Prius....
Submitted by Kona on Tue, 08/14/2007 - 16:09.I've been researching BioDiesel as an alternative to purchasing a Prius or other Hybrid Vehicle - I came accross this site: http://www.grist.org and a section called: "Ask Umbra" I think may out there will find this very interesting and worth considering when thinking about the environement, our pocket book and the politcal landscape:

Largest Leave No Trace Event In the World Goes Biodielsel
Submitted by wholesum on Thu, 05/31/2007 - 14:38.Burning Man, a 7 day festival in the northern nevada desert with attendance of up to 40000 people, will for the first time this year be nearly entirely powered by local (Reno) biodiesel. The event organizers have been trying to get the companies that rent generators to allow them to use biodiesel for years, but this is the first time every company they rent from (4 or 5 total, this is a massive event) agreed. Most modern diesel generators run on biodiesel without modifications, only requiring more frequent filter changes.
