Levels of Green.............
My level of being green, revolves around being a member of the National Resource Defence Council (NRDC), and a member of the Sierra Club. they actively take part in sending businesses, local and state, and Washington reps. e-mails and letters pertaining to violations in environmental and humanitarian laws. Such as the petitions against drilling in Alaska, and the necessity or cleaner energy sources, such as wind. It's free to join the campaigns. Maybe that's what this site needs too. A way to contact our elected representatives, congressmen and President, and petition our views, and the need for positive change. Not just for big companies to make a buck on unstable and hard to find hydrogen vehicles and refueling stations. It may well be as bad as pulling the tooth from an angry lion, but it won't be as no one can claim they haven't heard of us.
Hi Bllan2002,
Good for you - I agree, I think that as this site grows in poptularity it would have a HUGE voice and one that can not be ignored. I've heard that there are more than 30K people that have signed up to support Ed's quest and this site! Imagine if that number were 300K or 1 Million! FixingThePlanet.com feels like a community and a home where I can come and share and learn - it would be awesome, to have a way for all of us to be one loud roar on topics that affect our environment -
Hey FTP - what do you think - how can we make a forum about taking action and a way for us to reach our local, state and federal representatives?
Billy

- Green Building Benefits

In regards to environmentalism.
There are several levels of green.
Conservation communities, wetlands preservation, sustainable building, innovative energy efficient building, etc.
Listed Green has decided to focus on innovative, energy efficient, sustainable building design and renovation.
In this critical time of high energy costs and depleting worldwide energy sources, Listed Green saw a need to elevate and educate on this very important issue.
There already seems to be plenty of laws implementing land conservation through local building development codes. Surprisingly, there is a tremendous lack of mandatory codes requiring the use of innovative energy and resource saving products.
We believe that the implementation of solar power, grey water recycling, solar water heating, recycled building materials and many more innovative products, will make a tremendous reduction in our carbon footprint of the continued urban sprawl - a direct effect our children will benefit from, with generations to follow.
Listed Green has rejected some listings based on our overall goal of the aforementioned issues.
We understand there are great people out there making a difference in "conservation and restoration" of land itself, and great strides have been done to accomplish these goals, but we want to set a new goal - to be as energy efficient as we can be, while utilizing recycled building materials as much as possible.
What an impact that will be on our planet!
