Ms. Kerry Mitchell established Green Real Estate Education in early 2006, with over 14 years in real estate as a Maryland and Florida Broker.

ARELLO, The Association for Real Estate License Law Officials, has approved the “Green Building for Realtors®” Course as the first course on record for the new ARELLO Education Content Certification Program (AECCP).

In addition to training the real estate industry on the basics of implementing green principles in everyday practice, Green Real Estate Education trains on outreach, and is most proud of writing the only green building course series in the United States with its primary focus being real estate professionals.

The Real Estate Environmental and Energy Education Certification Series is exclusively for the real estate industry educating on energy efficiency, sustainability and green building relating to each of the 4 major disciplines. The Real Estate Licensee course is already approved in Florida, Illinois, South Carolina, Georgia and Louisiana for 3 hours of CE, and is in the review stages in Iowa, Maryland, Virginia, Minnesota, DC, and California. There are many inquiries from across the country. The Introduction to Green Building course for Home Inspectors is approved for 4 hours of MRC and CE credits by ASHI, NAHI and NACHI with classroom delivery in South Florida. The Appraisal course is being reviewed by the Appraisal Institute, and is approved for 4 hours of CE in Florida waiting for Illinois approval. The Mortgage course is in review stages with the MBA and NAMB. Real Estate professionals in organizations and banking associations across the country are hungry for the information Kerry shares in a way so they can then branch out to share the importance of these issues with their associates and clients. Kerry has taught Realtors in the Orlando, Venice, Tampa, Englewood and Sarasota Boards of Realtors and will teach Lake County Florida and St. Lucie Boards in the coming months. She will travel to teach in Cedar Rapids and Chicago and The South Carolina and Georgia Association of Realtors have asked Kerry to speak at their state conventions in late 2007. Kaplan ITI has asked Kerry to speak at their October 2007 convention for Home Inspectors in Las Vegas, Nevada. She will be in Las Vegas again in November to speak to the National Association of Exclusive Buyers Agents (NAEBA) and they are considering inserting Green Building for Realtors® as a module into their designation.  She organizes web events to train all from the convenience of the Internet platrform. Green Real Estate Education has received the 2007 Promising Practice Award from Sustainable Florida.
