Welcome to FixingThePlanet.com! I'm Ed Begley, Jr. My two partners and I created this site as a simple to use one-stop resource for those interested in learning about sustainable living. "Live simply so others can simply live" is the creed that I believe in and live by. Our goal with FixingThePlanet.com is to show you and the rest of the world that the path to a more efficient existence can be achieved without feeling burdened, compromised or overwhelmed. By taking small steps, you will not only be making a positive difference for the environment but you'll find that you can actually save money in the process! Who can argue with that? The forums on the left side of the page are what I like to refer to as the "low hanging fruit," or various ways to get immediately started on the path to changing the way you live and having a greater collective impact. Just like someone planning a journey or a mountain climber looking to scale Mount Everest, you have to start at the beginning with simple, measured steps. As you climb and reach the base camp, you take a moment to get acclimated before you start to ascend farther up the mountain. The concept here is the same - start small and take well planned steps and you'll see that the changes can be easily incorporated into your life. You will know right away that you are making a difference to both the environment AND your bottom line! This site is for YOU and is a positive, non-judgmental and apolitical place to learn and share. I hope you will join the cause and our quest to make a difference and help to Fix The Planet. I look forward to reading your posts! Sincerely, Ed Begley, Jr. |
