Solar Power in Texas

dwilson

I live in San Antonio Texas and in the process of designing my home.  I want to know more about how I can implement solar power into my home without breaking the bank.  Solar Panels and/or Solar Shingles?  Where do I start?  How much could this cost me?  Are there any Federal Tax breaks for Texas residents like they have for California and Arizona residents?

Re: Solar Power in Texas

Hey TX, there are lots of good incentives for solar. Check the desire website for a list of all areas. Utilities have to provide some by law. In fact it money they collect from all rate payers and then give back and take credit for.

Don't forget the best energy is passive shade and trees so you use less. It's also the lowest cost. Simple basic and efficient. It pays off real fast.
