Lithium battery in the 08 Prius?
Submitted by Kelly J on Tue, 10/23/2007 - 10:43.I had heard that the 08 Prius was going to have a lithium batters. I am in the process of trading in my Acura, (20 MPG city) for an 08 Prius. From the research I have done the 08 does not have the lithium battery. Have I missed something or is there a future date for release?
Thanks!

PHEV plug-in hybrids
Submitted by jstack6 on Sat, 05/26/2007 - 21:09.This type of hybrid needs it's own topic. Many people don't know but there are many types of hybrids. You have the lowest form millions drive called the nano hybrid where the battery and electric motor just starts the motor. That is the oldest and lowest form dating back to 1913. All modern cars use this simple starter motor.

Possibility of Getting HOV Carpool Lane Stickers For Hybrid Cars In California
Submitted by Charley on Wed, 05/16/2007 - 17:56.Hello,
I just recently purchased a new Toyota Prius and was wondering what is the truth regarding getting an HOV Carpool lane sticker in California? I've heard that the full allotment are all gone now, but then I've seen some indication that there are actually another batch available. Is it still worth pursuing? I understand that a used Toyota Prius with these stickers can sell for $4K over what the car is actually worth.

From Porsche to Prius
Submitted by Joseph on Fri, 03/16/2007 - 11:21.After my self-realization that the only way that we will be able to fix the planet is by our individual contributions I have decided to sell my beloved Porsche 911 automobile and move to a Toyota Prius. My whole mindset has undergone a complete change in that it is up to me and each one of us to do what we can to help fix the planet. We should all be concerned about global warming, pollution, recycling, fossil fuel consumption, the rain forest, etc., but the reality of our day-to-day existence usually limits us to choosing our particular battles.

Toyota Highlander and Lexus RX Hybrid - Are Either Good Green Choices?
Submitted by Anonymous on Sat, 03/10/2007 - 16:11.Green Folks,
I am looking at turning in our horrible gas-guzzling Volvo XC90 (gets 11.8 avg. in City) and getting either a Toyota Highlander or Lexus RX Hybrid. I'd really appreciate hearing any feedback that you have on either car. I know there's a good price difference, but overall which vehicle is better and why. How good are either of these cars?
Thanks,
Naida
