Megabus in the US!

Megabus is a lowcost, daily, express bus service in the US. You can check them out here: http://www.megabus.com/us/

Has anyone used this service before? It seems like a great idea, although they have very few routes at this time.

But the price is incredible: You can go from LA to Vegas for as low as $1.50. The high price is $30.50. Can you believe it?????

Read more about it here:

Freedom Bikes in Paris

These seem to be a big hit in Paris. There is talk of London doing it, too. What would NY or Chicago look like if they followed this trend toward public bike sharing? I think it is a great idea. What do you think?

You can read an article about it here:

Walking

We all seem to like high tech vehicles like hybrids and some of the new super Electric Vehicles but what about walking. My wife and I love to walk places. It allows us to talk a lot more than bicycling and we can even say hi and meet new people.
Recently I've read that American adults are 68% over weight. Why join a health club or try some new diet trend. Why not just walk a little more.
Even at the store and malls I see people park as close as they can get. Even big healthy guys driving large trucks all want to get a close parking spot.

When it come to reducing pollution ,using less fuel and having less road congestion public transportation is the best. In many cities they combine this with bicycles so you can zip the last mile or so on your bicycle.
