Burt's Bees bought by Chlorox for $925 Million
Submitted by WendyWaterWoman on Fri, 07/18/2008 - 23:31.I was dismayed to find out that in December of 2007, Chlorox did indeed buy Burt's Bees and all of its wonderful skincare products. I've been using Burt's bees for years and love the way they are so green-concious in so many areas of their business. They try their best to make their products with such good ingredients that they are edible. They try to make all the packaging they use recyclable. I loved this company! But must reconsider...

bath salts as natural skincare
Submitted by brylletc on Thu, 07/10/2008 - 10:39.We all know the therapeutic effects that bath salts give when we soak in them. But what about its positive effects to our skin. Basically our bodies has the same concentration of minerals and nutrients as the sea and it stabilizes the natural balance inside us.

Too old to have pimples:)
Submitted by belinda_25@hotm... on Sun, 11/18/2007 - 11:10.OK, I am 31 years old today, and my skin is still that of a 16 year old at times. I thought as I got older this problem would clear up. I have tried Proactive, Murad acne, and also Arbonne Acne, but they just seem to dry me out completly. I do not have extreme acne, but at certain times of the month:) I would say it is mild acne. I would love to find something that would leave my skin soft yet acne free, or close to;).
Thanks so much,
Belinda

Chocolate, french fries and acne
Submitted by Francine Jansen on Tue, 09/18/2007 - 16:38.A question called in to Francine - See below:
My mom and I disagree on what causes acne.
She says I eat too many french fries and chocolate.
I don't eat any more than my friends and some of them have acne and some of them don't. What's the answer?

Product Ingredients
Submitted by Doing-My-Part on Tue, 09/18/2007 - 00:02.Dear Francine,
I have tried "natural" products several times. I find these products in stores that market to the "green" community. However, when I check the ingredients of some of these products, they contain many of the same chemical ingredients of the products I am trying to avoid. My skin hates the chemicals and I know the environment does.
When it comes to hygiene and skin care, can you recommend a home remedy or a product line with truely natural ingredients?
Thank you for your time.

Alligator skin
Submitted by WalterL48 on Mon, 09/17/2007 - 20:44.Dear Francine,
I'm only in my fifties, but my legs look like 'Alligator Skin', probably from many years of working and spending my leisure time in the sun. I know I probably didn't take care of my skin like I should have, but is it too late to get smooth skin again? I like the idea of using natural skin care remedies - hopefully you can help.
Thanks.

my Laugh Lines
Submitted by MattC on Fri, 09/14/2007 - 17:15.Dear Francine,
I am 34 years of age and feel that my "laugh lines" are somewhat advanced for my age. I have clowned and humored my way through life, and I think my happy lifestyle has caused me premature wrinkling! Can you provide me with a product that can help alleviate the lines around my eyes? I may be a bit vain for a man, but I am in the entertainment industry and we all know how unforgiving it can be! Thank you in advance for your expertise!
