Trees Plants

Did you know that shade trees can really save a lot of energy especially in the sunny hot south. I live in Arizona and on the ASES National solar tour we visited a home with big trees all around it. WOW, It was so nice and cool.

The back garage are was the only open sunny place so that's where they located the Soalr PV panels and Solar hot water systems. Very nice.

Another great thing is the trees produce oranges and lemons. They share with neighbors who trade them other produce. It's seems like the old days when neighbors all helped each other and shared resources.

I've heard that other ground covers like clover ,ivy and rosemary. Here's a net serch to explain this=Plants, even small ones close to the ground, act as mini-air conditioners. The air temperature near them is often at least 10 degrees cooler than the ambient air temperature. This lower air temperature near your house means that less heat energy will transfer indoors through walls and windows.

The process by which plants cool air is called transpiration. The leaves of the plants evaporate large quantities of water into the surrounding air. This is a similar cooling effect to when we perspire. When liquid water changes states to water vapor, its consumes energy and thus becomes cooler.

Re: Trees Plants

I just planted 3 trees at my home. They are all citrus so I'll have some fresh food and cool my home . What a nice combination.
They also help clean the air and filter water. If we all planted a few trees it could help reduce global warming. Leaf the old problems behind.
